The Darkening Flash

They ran wild,

In the spring fields,

And went high,

Under the sapphire skies.

Life then was a love song,

Charmed by the wiling pearls,

In the starry nights.

The dawn's now lost,

The dusk breathes red,

And they sit staring,

As another glaring flash,

Darkens the depths.
